Something is being done to Guanqiao’s body.

Guanqiao Yu

About

Guanqiao Yu is a Chicago-based artist working across performance, moving image, and installation. His practice examines queer intimacy and bodily experience within the sociopolitical contexts of contemporary Asia.

Using water, repetition, domestic rituals, and acts of endurance, Guanqiao stages the unstable threshold between care and control, longing and refusal, private memory and public ideology.
